Memorial Day Weekend 2019

Welcome to the holiday weekend. I would be remiss if I didn’t say that we as a community we should remember that many Americans gave the ultimate sacrifice to allow for us to be where we are right now. We salute those who have served and gave their all for us. Never Forget.

If you haven’t looked at the weekend and next weeks forecast, it’s like a lot of our graduation years: 92, 93, 94, and up to 99!! Yes, I’ve dated myself. We move on… It’s going to be HOT & Sunny! Luckily we have a lot to do to cool off this weekend:

  • Mill House Pool: Friday 4pm-10pm; Saturday 10am-8:30pm; Sunday 11am-8pm; Monday 10am-8pm

  • Five Forks Pool: Friday 4pm-8pm; Saturday 10am-8pm; Sunday 12pm-8pm; Monday 10am-8pm

  • The full Pool Schedule & Calendar

BWTM… On Saturday May 25, 1pm-5pm, The Lawson Social Committee is excited to once again bring DJ Craig to the Mill House Pools! He plays amazing and fun games for the kids plus super cool music for all.

This weekend tends to be our busiest weekend of the year. Last year we had around 300 residents on deck or in the water during most hours during the day. We had to limit access and direct resident to the Five Forks Pool when this occurred and we plan to do this again this year. This is a Code issue, not an HOA or Trident issue. Please be aware that you may be asked to go to the other pool if we are at capacity.

A few other items:

  • Here are our Pool Rules & Policies

  • Puddle Jumpers, while certified as flotation devices, are only safe when worn properly and while under adult supervision. Please be aware of your little ones wearing these devices.

  • Please plan for low availability of tables & chairs and pack your sports chairs in the trunk just in case this weekend.

  • We ask that you provide your Feedback to rather than posting it to Facebook. We monitor the inbox, not social media. If you see something that just does not seem right, please email us. We have direct contact to Trident should an issue arise.

Guest Policy: Residents must be at least 15 years of age to sign in guests. All guests must be registered at the front gate of the pools prior to entering. We continue to see the same guests being brought to our pools on a daily basis which is not allowed. A single guest may registered no more than 5 times in a month. If the policy continues to be abused, we will look at other solutions to enforce the policy.

Food & Drink Policy: We are one of the few pools to allow adult beverages, please enjoy them discreetly. Many residents enjoy this option at the pools, please enjoy them responsibly. While we allow food and drink at the pool amenities, we do not allow food or drink IN the pools. Please refrain from bringing your drinks or food in the water. We also do not allow for food within 3 feet of the water. Please refrain from setting up meals and eating at the poolside.

We hope you have a great weekend and see you at the pools!

Thank you,

Dave Garlinski, Amenities Chair
